2001 SUMMER INSTITUTE ON THE GLOBAL SOUTH
INTERNATIONAL  RELATIONS TRACK
 
The International Relations Track will examine the challenges that crises present to international organizations, and new strategies for preventative action and peace building. The Institute will also heighten students' awareness of creative new movements for
sustainable economic growth and human rights, women's empowerment, human development and environmental justice. Topics such as trade and development, international monetary system will be  examined as well. Students with interdisciplinary interests including global politics, business, economics, public affairs and gender studies will benefit from this critical perspective on the global equation.
