Assume you are the Inca Atahualpa and have just gotten word from a messenger about some strage beings who have recently arrived on the coast in large floating houses. What do you?

Note: In later versions of this web site we plan to have a "chat room" where you will be able to answer the question, post your answer, have other students (and the instructor) read your comments and make their own comments. For the moment you might want to type your answers in a word processing program and let the instructor have them for extra credit. We will also be discussing these questions orally in class.
