put aside your livery of war:

the branch of victory

Of its triumph, my motherland,

shall see Peace the longed-for day

Peace, at whose sight the world fills

its soul with serenity and joy:

man returns inspired to his tasks,

the ships hauls anchor, and to her friends

commends soft breezes,

the workshop hums, the countryside boils,
