for Lesson 11 is a caudillo
In contrast to the Baroque, Neoclassicism stressed simplicity
and clarity of design, restraint in detail, rationality, and organization.
There was little room for the exuberance of colors and lushness of details
that characterized the Baroque. In literature and painting the rules of
Neoclassicism inhibited excesses of emotion or subjectivism; the mind clearly
dominated the heart.
