The painting is a fragment from Frida Kahlo's "Diego and me",
in which she portrays her husband, the Mexican muralist Diego Rivera, on
her mind. The drawing (by former student Daniel Silver) is based on Fernando
Botero's painting "The Presidential Family of Latin America",
and shows the traditional conservative power structure of landowner-politician,
army officer, and priest. Copyright 1997 Jack Child.
