The Spanish minor consists of 24 credit hours of Spanish courses, of which half (12 hours) must be at the .300 level or above. Generally, all (or most) hours done in AU study abroad programs in Spanish-speaking countries (Spain, Chile, Argentina) can be used toward the minor. Study abroad work done through other university's programs may or may not count; please consult with the Coordinator of Spanish and Latin American Studies in the Department of Language and Foreign Studies (885-2385). A maximum of 6 credit hours may be used for both the major and minor, and at least 9 credit hours must be done at AU (this includes study abroad in AU programs). No specific courses are required; these are sugestions only.
