Telephone centrals and lines installed are distributed throughout the country in direct relation to population. The table below includes information on lines installed by the cooperatives that were in operation prior to the privatization of EnTel. The cooperatives were allowed to provide basic telephony services in those areas where EnTel services were not available. There are some 300 cooperatives distributed throughout the Argentine territory.
